وَأَيُّ شَعْبٍ هُوَ عَظِيمٌ لهُ فَرَائِضُ وَأَحْكَامٌ عَادِلةٌ مِثْلُ كُلِّ هَذِهِ الشَّرِيعَةِ التِي أَنَا وَاضِعٌ أَمَامَكُمُ اليَوْمَ؟
And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this
Torah, which I set before you this day?

בצרה קראת ואחלצך אענך בסתר רעם אבחנך על־מי מריבה

You called in trouble, and I delivered you, and I answered you in the secret place of
thunder, I proved you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
רעה ישׂראל האזינה נהג כצאן יוסף ישׁב הכרובים
הופיעה׃ לפני אפרים ובנימן ומנשׁה עוררה את־גבורתך ולכה לישׁעתה לנו׃
אלהים השׁיבנו והאר פניך ונושׁעה׃
يَا رَاعِيَ إِسْرَائِيلَ اصْغَ يَا قَائِدَ يُوسُفَ كَالضَّأْنِ يَا جَالِساً عَلَى الْكَرُوبِيمِ أَشْرِقْ. قُدَّامَ أَفْرَايِمَ وَبِنْيَامِينَ وَمَنَسَّى أَيْقِظْ جَبَرُوتَكَ وَهَلُمَّ لِخَلاَصِنَا. يَا اللهُ أَرْجِعْنَا وَأَنِرْ بِوَجْهِكَ فَنَخْلُصَ
يَا رَاعِيَ إِسْرَائِيلَ اصْغَ يَا قَائِدَ يُوسُفَ كَالضَّأْنِ يَا جَالِساً عَلَى الْكَرُوبِيمِ أَشْرِقْ. قُدَّامَ أَفْرَايِمَ وَبِنْيَامِينَ وَمَنَسَّى أَيْقِظْ جَبَرُوتَكَ وَهَلُمَّ لِخَلاَصِنَا. يَا اللهُ أَرْجِعْنَا وَأَنِرْ بِوَجْهِكَ فَنَخْلُصَ
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you that lead all Joseph like a flock, you that dwell
between the cherubims, shine forth. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up your strength, and come and save us.
Turn us again, O Allah, and cause your face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Ἐλάλησεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς
αὐτόν Ἐγὼ κύριος· καὶ ὤφθην πρὸς Αβρααμ καὶ Ισαακ καὶ Ιακωβ,

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his
blood? Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh.
And his brethren were content. Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the
pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
תקעו בחדשׁ שׁופר בכסה ליום חגנו׃ כי חק לישׂראל הוא
משׁפט לאלהי יעקב׃ עדות ביהוסף שׂמו בצאתו על־ארץ מצרים שׂפת
לא־ידעתי אשׁמע׃
انْفُخُوا فِي رَأْسِ الشَّهْرِ بِالْبُوقِ عِنْدَ الْهِلاَلِ لِيَوْمِ عِيدِنَا. لأَنَّ هَذَا فَرِيضَةٌ لإِسْرَائِيلَ حُكْمٌ لإِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ. جَعَلَهُ شَهَادَةً فِي يُوسُفَ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِهِ عَلَى أَرْضِ مِصْرَ. سَمِعْتُ لِسَاناً لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ.
انْفُخُوا فِي رَأْسِ الشَّهْرِ بِالْبُوقِ عِنْدَ الْهِلاَلِ لِيَوْمِ عِيدِنَا. لأَنَّ هَذَا فَرِيضَةٌ لإِسْرَائِيلَ حُكْمٌ لإِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ. جَعَلَهُ شَهَادَةً فِي يُوسُفَ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِهِ عَلَى أَرْضِ مِصْرَ. سَمِعْتُ لِسَاناً لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ.
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. For
this was a statute for Israel, and a law of Allah of Jacob. This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out
through the land of Egypt: where “I heard a language that I understood not.”

قُلْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَىٰ وَعِيسَىٰ وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ
(84) Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was
revealed to Abraham, Ismael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from
their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will.” (Which “bow
our will,” means Muslim.)
