وَسَأَلَهُ الْجُمُوعُ: «فَمَاذَا نَفْعَلُ؟»   فَأَجَابَ: «مَنْ لَهُ ثَوْبَانِ فَلْيُعْطِ مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَمَنْ لَهُ طَعَامٌ فَلْيَفْعَلْ هَكَذَا».

 

 και επηρωτων αυτον οι οχλοι λεγοντες τι ουν ποιησομεν  αποκριθεις δε λεγει αυτοις ο εχων δυο χιτωνας μεταδοτω τω μη εχοντι και ο εχων βρωματα ομοιως ποιειτω

 

And the people asked him, saying, what shall we do then?   He answer and said unto them, he that has two coats, let him impart to him that has none, and he that has meat, let him do likewise.

וישאלהו גם־אנשי הצבא לאמר ואנחנו מה־נעשה ויאמר אליהם אל־תזעזעו איש ואל־תעשקו ודי לכם בשכרכם׃

And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Messiah, or not, John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water, but one mightier than I comes, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose, he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire, whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner, but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

“וגם עכשיו אני מוכן לקבל החלטות קשות כדי לקדם את השלום,”

“– and now as well, I am prepared to make tough decisions to promote peace,”

 

If so, tear down those fences and do this,

 

וגר לא־תונה ולא תלחצנו כי־גרים הייתם בארץ מצרים׃ 

 

«وَلا تَضْطَهِدِ الْغَرِيبَ وَلا تُضَايِقْهُ لانَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ غُرَبَاءَ فِي ارْضِ مِصْرَ.

 

You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

 

כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה שִׁמְר֥וּ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וַעֲשׂ֣וּ צְדָקָ֑ה כִּֽי־קְרוֹבָ֤ה יְשֽׁוּעָתִי֙ לָב֔וֹא וְצִדְקָתִ֖י לְהִגָּלֽוֹת׃ אַשְׁרֵ֤י אֱנוֹשׁ֙ יַעֲשֶׂה־זֹּ֔את וּבֶן־אָדָ֖ם יַחֲזִ֣יק בָּ֑הּ שֹׁמֵ֤ר שַׁבָּת֙ מֵֽחַלְּל֔וֹ וְשֹׁמֵ֥ר יָד֖וֹ מֵעֲשׂ֥וֹת כָּל־רָֽע׃ וְאַל־יֹאמַ֣ר בֶּן־הַנֵּכָ֗ר הַנִּלְוָ֤ה אֶל־יְהוָה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הַבְדֵּ֧ל יַבְדִּילַ֛נִי יְהוָ֖ה מֵעַ֣ל עַמּ֑וֹ וְאַל־יֹאמַר֙ הַסָּרִ֔יס הֵ֥ן אֲנִ֖י עֵ֥ץ יָבֵֽשׁ׃ כִּי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה לַסָּֽרִיסִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִשְׁמְרוּ֙ אֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֔י וּבָֽחֲר֖וּ בַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר חָפָ֑צְתִּי וּמַחֲזִיקִ֖ים בִּבְרִיתִֽי׃ וְנָתַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֜ם בְּבֵיתִ֤י וּבְחֽוֹמֹתַי֙ יָ֣ד וָשֵׁ֔ם ט֖וֹב מִבָּנִ֣ים וּמִבָּנ֑וֹת שֵׁ֤ם עוֹלָם֙ אֶתֶּן־ל֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵֽת׃ וּבְנֵ֣י הַנֵּכָ֗ר הַנִּלְוִ֤ים עַל־יְהוָה֙ לְשָׁ֣רְת֔וֹ וּֽלְאַהֲבָה֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה לִהְי֥וֹת ל֖וֹ לַעֲבָדִ֑ים כָּל־שֹׁמֵ֤ר שַׁבָּת֙ מֵֽחַלְּל֔וֹ וּמַחֲזִיקִ֖ים בִּבְרִיתִֽי׃ וַהֲבִיאוֹתִ֞ים אֶל־הַ֣ר קָדְשִׁ֗י וְשִׂמַּחְתִּים֙ בְּבֵ֣ית תְּפִלָּתִ֔י עוֹלֹתֵיהֶ֧ם וְזִבְחֵיהֶ֛ם לְרָצ֖וֹן עַֽל־מִזְבְּחִ֑י כִּ֣י בֵיתִ֔י בֵּית־תְּפִלָּ֥ה יִקָּרֵ֖א לְכָל־הָעַמִּֽים׃

 

إِنِّي أُعْطِيهِمْ فِي بَيْتِي وَفِي أَسْوَارِي نُصُباً وَاسْماً أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْبَنِينَ وَالْبَنَاتِ. أُعْطِيهِمُِ اسْماً أَبَدِيّاً لاَ يَنْقَطِعُ.

وَأَبْنَاءُ الْغَرِيبِ الَّذِينَ يَقْتَرِنُونَ «يَهْوَهْ» بِّ لِيَخْدِمُوهُ وَلِيُحِبُّوا اسْمَ الرَّبِّ لِيَكُونُوا لَهُ عَبِيداً كُلُّ الَّذِينَ يَحْفَظُونَ السَّبْتَ لِئَلاَّ يُنَجِّسُوهُ وَيَتَمَسَّكُونَ بِعَهْدِي

 آتِي بِهِمْ إِلَى جَبَلِ قُدْسِي وَأُفَرِّحُهُمْ فِي بَيْتِ صَلاَتِي وَتَكُونُ مُحْرَقَاتُهُمْ وَذَبَائِحُهُمْ مَقْبُولَةً عَلَى مَذْبَحِي لأَنَّ بَيْتِي بَيْتَ الصَّلاَةِ يُدْعَى لِكُلِّ الشُّعُوبِ».

  يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ جَامِعُ مَنْفِيِّي إِسْرَائِيلَ: «أَجْمَعُ بَعْدُ إِلَيْهِ إِلَى مَجْمُوعِيهِ»

 

“Thus says Yahweh, Keep you judgment, and do justice, for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of man that lays hold on it; that keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil. Neither let the son of the foreigner, that has joined himself to Yahweh, speak, saying, Yahweh has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.  For thus says Yahweh unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant, even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters, I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.  Also the sons of the foreigner, that join themselves to Yahweh, to serve him, and to love the name of Yahweh, to be his servants, every one that keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant, even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer, their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for my house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.  The Lord Yahweh which gathers the outcasts of Israel says, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.” 

 

The only King that I serve and bow to!

 

The only King that I serve and bow to, is Yahweh, who goes before me and proves the hearts of all, and he strengthens even the most feeble, that he finds worthy, and those that he counts unworthy, even the mightiest fall before him, and he does not respect if they are of my tribe or not, and with tears for my own tribe, I say the truth, only those that he finds worthy of him, will stand. Separate from brothers, Yahweh says many of my own tribe said that I am of Cain and or Esau, and I have no power to strengthen them, nor power to destroy them.

 

Take a look at some of what is written of me. Is it possible for any prophecy spoken by Allah to fail?

 

בן פרת יוסף בן פרת עלי־עין בנות צעדה עלי־שׁור׃ 

 וימררהו ורבו וישׂטמהו בעלי חצים׃

ותשׁב באיתן קשׁתו ויפזו זרעי ידיו מידי אביר יעקב משׁם רעה אבן ישׂראל׃

מאל אביך ויעזרך ואת שׁדי ויברכך ברכת שׁמים מעל ברכת תהום רבצת תחת ברכת שׁדים ורחם׃

 ברכת אביך גברו על־ברכת הורי עד־תאות גבעת עולם תהיין לראשׁ יוסף ולקדקד נזיר אחיו׃

 

يُوسُفُ غُصْنُ شَجَرَةٍ مُثْمِرَةٍ غُصْنُ شَجَرَةٍ مُثْمِرَةٍ عَلَى عَيْنٍ. اغْصَانٌ قَدِ ارْتَفَعَتْ فَوْقَ حَائِطٍ.

  فَمَرَّرَتْهُ وَرَمَتْهُ وَاضْطَهَدَتْهُ ارْبَابُ السِّهَامِ.

  وَلَكِنْ ثَبَتَتْ بِمَتَانَةٍ قَوْسُهُ وَتَشَدَّدَتْ سَوَاعِدُ يَدَيْهِ. مِنْ يَدَيْ عَزِيزِ يَعْقُوبَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ مِنَ الرَّاعِي صَخْرِ اسْرَائِيلَ

  مِنْ الَهِ ابِيكَ الَّذِي يُعِينُكَ وَمِنَ الْقَادِرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ الَّذِي يُبَارِكُكَ تَاتِي بَرَكَاتُ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ فَوْقُ وَبَرَكَاتُ الْغَمْرِ الرَّابِضِ تَحْتُ. بَرَكَاتُ الثَّدْيَيْنِ وَالرَّحِمِ.

  بَرَكَاتُ ابِيكَ فَاقَتْ عَلَى بَرَكَاتِ ابَوَيَّ. الَى مُنْيَةِ الْاكَامِ الدَّهْرِيَّةِ تَكُونُ عَلَى رَاسِ يُوسُفَ وَعَلَى قِمَّةِ نَذِيرِ اخْوَتِهِ.

 

Υἱὸς ηὐξημένος Ιωσηφ, υἱὸς ηὐξημένος ζηλωτός, υἱός μου νεώτατος· πρός με ἀνάστρεψον.   εἰς ὃν διαβουλευόμενοι ἐλοιδόρουν, καὶ ἐνεῖχον αὐτῷ κύριοι τοξευμάτων· καὶ συνετρίβη μετὰ κράτους τὰ τόξα αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐξελύθη τὰ νεῦρα βραχιόνων χειρῶν αὐτῶν διὰ χεῖρα δυνάστου Ιακωβ, ἐκεῖθεν ὁ κατισχύσας Ισραηλ·   παρὰ θεοῦ τοῦ πατρός σου, καὶ ἐβοήθησέν σοι ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἐμὸς καὶ εὐλόγησέν σε εὐλογίαν οὐρανοῦ ἄνωθεν καὶ εὐλογίαν γῆς ἐχούσης πάντα· ἕνεκεν εὐλογίας μαστῶν καὶ μήτρας,  εὐλογίας πατρός σου καὶ μητρός σου· ὑπερίσχυσεν ἐπ᾿ εὐλογίαις ὀρέων μονίμων καὶ ἐπ᾿ εὐλογίαις θινῶν ἀενάων· ἔσονται ἐπὶ κεφαλὴν Ιωσηφ καὶ ἐπὶ κορυφῆς ὧν ἡγήσατο ἀδελφῶν.

 

Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall. The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:   But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lays under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:   The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

 

נאם יהוה לאדני שׁב לימיני עד־אשׁית איביך דם לרגליך׃

נאם יהוה לאדני׃ אדני על־ימינך מחץ ביום־אפו מלכים׃

ידין בגוים מלא גויות מחץ ראשׁ על־ארץ רבה׃

 מנחל בדרך ישׁתה על־כן ירים ראשׁ׃

 

  قَالَ   يَهْوَهْ بُّ لِرَبِّي: اجْلِسْ عَنْ يَمِينِي حَتَّى أَضَعَ أَعْدَاءَكَ مَوْطِئاً لِقَدَمَيْك

 قَالَ   يَهْوَهْ بُّ لِرَبِّي: الرَّبُّ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ يُحَطِّمُ فِي يَوْمِ رِجْزِهِ مُلُوكاً.

يَدِينُ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ. مَلَأَ جُثَثاً أَرْضاً وَاسِعَةً. سَحَقَ رُؤُوسَهَا.

 مِنَ النَّهْرِ يَشْرَبُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ لِذَلِكَ يَرْفَعُ الرَّأْسَ

 

Εἶπεν ὁ κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου Κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου, ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου. Εἶπεν ὁ κύριος τῷ κυρίῳ μου Κάθου κύριος ἐκ δεξιῶν σου συνέθλασεν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ βασιλεῖς· κρινεῖ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, πληρώσει πτώματα, συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐπὶ γῆς πολλῶν. ἐκ χειμάρρου ἐν ὁδῷ πίεται· διὰ τοῦτο ὑψώσει κεφαλήν.

 

“Yahweh said unto my Lord, the Lord your right hand, an arrow through Kings in the day of his aggression. He shall judge among the Nations, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies, he shall wound the head over the land’s many. From the stream within the path drinking, therefore lifting up the head.”

 

ההימיר גוי אלהים והמה לא אלהים ועמי המיר כבודו בלוא יועיל׃

 שׁמו שׁמים על־זאת ושׂערו חרבו מאד נאם־יהוה׃

 כי־שׁתים רעות עשׂה עמי אתי עזבו מקור מים חיים לחצב להם בארות בארת נשׁברים אשׁר לא־יכלו המים׃

העבד ישׂראל אם־יליד בית הוא מדוע היה לבז׃

עליו ישׁאגו כפרים נתנו קולם וישׁיתו ארצו לשׁמה עריו נצתה מבלי ישׁב׃

גם־בני־נף ותחפנס ירעוך קדקד׃

 הלוא־זאת תעשׂה־לך עזבך את־יהוה אלהיך בעת מוליכך בדרך׃

ועתה מה־לך לדרך מצרים לשׁתות מי שׁחור ומה־לך לדרך אשׁור לשׁתות מי נהר׃

תיסרך רעתך ומשׁבותיך תוכחך ודעי וראי כי־רע ומר עזבך את־יהוה אלהיך ולא פחדתי אליך נאם־אדני יהוה צבאות׃

 כי מעולם שׁברתי עלך נתקתי מוסרתיך ותאמרי לא אעבד כי על־כל־גבעה גבהה ותחת כל־עץ רענן את צעה זנה׃

 ואנכי נטעתיך שׂרק כלה זרע אמת ואיך נהפכת לי סורי הגפן נכריה׃

 כי אם־תכבסי בנתר ותרבי־לך ברית נכתם עונך לפני נאם אדני יהוה׃

  איך תאמרי לא נטמאתי אחרי הבעלים לא הלכתי ראי דרכך בגיא דעי מה עשׂית בכרה קלה משׂרכת דרכיה׃

 פרה למד מדבר באות נפשׁו שׁאפה רוח תאנתה מי ישׁיבנה כל־מבקשׁיה לא ייעפו בחדשׁה ימצאונה׃

  מנעי רגלך מיחף וגורנך מצמאה ותאמרי נואשׁ לוא כי־אהבתי זרים ואחריהם אלך׃

  כבשׁת גנב כי ימצא כן הבישׁו בית ישׂראל המה מלכיהם שׂריהם וכהניהם ונביאיהם׃

  אמרים לעץ אבי אתה ולאבן את ילדתני כי־פנו אלי ערף ולא פנים ובעת רעתם יאמרו קומה והושׁיענו׃

 ואיה אלהיך אשׁר עשׂית לך יקומו אם־יושׁיעוך בעת רעתך כי מספר עריך היו אלהיך יהודה׃

  למה תריבו אלי כלכם פשׁעתם בי נאם־יהוה׃

 

هَلْ بَدَلَتْ أُمّةٌ آلِهَةً وَهِيَ لَيْسَتْ آلِهَةً؟ أَمَّا شَعْبِي فَقَدْ بَدَلَ مَجْدَهُ بِمَا لاَ يَنْفَعُ!

  اِبْهَتِي أَيَّتُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ مِنْ هَذَا وَاقْشَعِرِّي وَتَحَيَّرِي جِدّاً يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ.

  لأَنَّ شَعْبِي عَمِلَ شَرَّيْنِ: تَرَكُونِي أَنَا يَنْبُوعَ الْمِيَاهِ الْحَيَّةِ لِيَنْقُرُوا لأَنْفُسِهِمْ آبَاراً آبَاراً مُشَقَّقَةً لاَ تَضْبُطُ مَاءً.

 [أَعَبْدٌ إِسْرَائِيلُ أَوْ مَوْلُودُ الْبَيْتِ هُوَ؟ لِمَاذَا صَارَ غَنِيمَةً؟

  زَمْجَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ الأَشْبَالُ. أَطْلَقَتْ صَوْتَهَا وَجَعَلَتْ أَرْضَهُ خَرِبَةً. أُحْرِقَتْ مُدُنُهُ فَلاَ سَاكِنَ.

 وَبَنُو نُوفَ وَتَحْفَنِيسَ قَدْ شَجُّوا هَامَتَكِ.

  أَمَا صَنَعْتِ هَذَا بِنَفْسِكِ إِذْ تَرَكْتِ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكِ حِينَمَا كَانَ مُسَيِّرَكِ فِي الطَّرِيقِ؟

  وَالآنَ مَا لَكِ وَطَرِيقَ مِصْرَ لِشُرْبِ مِيَاهِ شِيحُورَ وَمَا لَكِ وَطَرِيقَ أَشُّورَ لِشُرْبِ مِيَاهِ النَّهْرِ؟

  يُوَبِّخُكِ شَرُّكِ وَعِصْيَانُكِ يُؤَدِّبُكِ. فَاعْلَمِي وَانْظُرِي أَنَّ تَرْكَكِ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَكِ شَرٌّ وَمُرٌّ وَأَنَّ خَشْيَتِي لَيْسَتْ فِيكِ يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ رَبُّ الْجُنُودِ.

 [لأَنَّهُ مُنْذُ الْقَدِيمِ كَسَرْتُ نِيرَكِ وَقَطَعْتُ قُيُودَكِ وَقُلْتِ: لاَ أَتَعَبَّدُ. لأَنَّكِ عَلَى كُلِّ أَكَمَةٍ عَالِيَةٍ وَتَحْتَ كُلِّ شَجَرَةٍ خَضْرَاءَ أَنْتِ اضْطَجَعْتِ زَانِيَةً!

  وَأَنَا قَدْ غَرَسْتُكِ كَرْمَةَ سُورَقَ زَرْعَ حَقٍّ كُلَّهَا. فَكَيْفَ تَحَوَّلْتِ لِي سُرُوغَ جَفْنَةٍ غَرِيبَةٍ؟

  فَإِنَّكِ وَإِنِ اغْتَسَلْتِ بِنَطْرُونٍ وَأَكْثَرْتِ لِنَفْسِكِ الأَشْنَانَ فَقَدْ نُقِشَ إِثْمُكِ أَمَامِي يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ

 كَيْفَ تَقُولِينَ: لَمْ أَتَنَجَّسْ. وَرَاءَ بَعْلِيمَ لَمْ أَذْهَبْ؟ انْظُرِي طَرِيقَكِ فِي الْوَادِي. إِعْرِفِي مَا عَمِلْتِ يَا نَاقَةً خَفِيفَةً ضَبِعَةً فِي طُرُقِهَا!

  يَا أَتَانَ الْفَرَاءِ قَدْ تَعَوَّدَتِ الْبَرِّيَّةَ! فِي شَهْوَةِ نَفْسِهَا تَسْتَنْشِقُ الرِّيحَ. عِنْدَ ضَبَعِهَا مَنْ يَرُدُّهَا؟ كُلُّ طَالِبِيهَا لاَ يُعْيُونَ. فِي شَهْرِهَا يَجِدُونَهَا.

  اِحْفَظِي رِجْلَكِ مِنَ الْحَفَا وَحَلْقَكِ مِنَ الظَّمَإِ. فَقُلْتِ: بَاطِلٌ! لاَ! لأَنِّي قَدْ أَحْبَبْتُ الْغُرَبَاءَ وَوَرَاءَهُمْ أَذْهَبُ.

  كَخِزْيِ السَّارِقِ إِذَا وُجِدَ هَكَذَا خِزْيُ بَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ هُمْ وَمُلُوكُهُمْ وَرُؤَسَاؤُهُمْ وَكَهَنَتُهُمْ وَأَنْبِيَاؤُهُمْ

  قَائِلِينَ لِلْعُودِ: أَنْتَ أَبِي وَلِلْحَجَرِ: أَنْتَ وَلَدْتَنِي. لأَنَّهُمْ حَوَّلُوا نَحْوِي الْقَفَا لاَ الْوَجْهَ وَفِي وَقْتِ بَلِيَّتِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ: قُمْ وَخَلِّصْنَا.

 فَأَيْنَ آلِهَتُكَ الَّتِي صَنَعْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ؟ فَلْيَقُومُوا إِنْ كَانُوا يُخَلِّصُونَكَ فِي وَقْتِ بَلِيَّتِكَ. لأَنَّهُ عَلَى عَدَدِ مُدُنِكَ صَارَتْ آلِهَتُكَ يَا يَهُوذَا.

  لِمَاذَا تُخَاصِمُونَنِي؟ كُلُّكُمْ عَصَيْتُمُونِي يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ

 

εἰ ἀλλάξονται ἔθνη θεοὺς αὐτῶν; καὶ οὗτοι οὔκ εἰσιν θεοί. ὁ δὲ λαός μου ἠλλάξατο τὴν δόξαν αὐτοῦ, ἐξ ἧς οὐκ ὠφεληθήσονται.  ἐξέστη ὁ οὐρανὸς ἐπὶ τούτῳ καὶ ἔφριξεν ἐπὶ πλεῖον σφόδρα, λέγει κύριος.  ὅτι δύο πονηρὰ ἐποίησεν ὁ λαός μου· ἐμὲ ἐγκατέλιπον, πηγὴν ὕδατος ζωῆς, καὶ ὤρυξαν ἑαυτοῖς λάκκους συντετριμμένους, οἳ οὐ δυνήσονται ὕδωρ συνέχειν. Μὴ δοῦλός ἐστιν Ισραηλ ἢ οἰκογενής ἐστιν; διὰ τί εἰς προνομὴν ἐγένετο;  ἐπ᾿ αὐτὸν ὠρύοντο λέοντες καὶ ἔδωκαν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτῶν, οἳ ἔταξαν τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ εἰς ἔρημον, καὶ αἱ πόλεις αὐτοῦ κατεσκάφησαν παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι. καὶ υἱοὶ Μέμφεως καὶ Ταφνας ἔγνωσάν σε καὶ κατέπαιζόν σου.   οὐχὶ ταῦτα ἐποίησέν σοι τὸ καταλιπεῖν σε ἐμέ; λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου.  καὶ νῦν τί σοι καὶ τῇ ὁδῷ Αἰγύπτου τοῦ πιεῖν ὕδωρ Γηων; καὶ τί σοι καὶ τῇ ὁδῷ Ἀσσυρίων τοῦ πιεῖν ὕδωρ ποταμῶν; παιδεύσει σε ἡ ἀποστασία σου, καὶ ἡ κακία σου ἐλέγξει σε· καὶ γνῶθι καὶ ἰδὲ ὅτι πικρόν σοι τὸ καταλιπεῖν σε ἐμέ, λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου· καὶ οὐκ εὐδόκησα ἐπὶ σοί, λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός σου. ὅτι ἀπ᾿ αἰῶνος συνέτριψας τὸν ζυγόν σου, διέσπασας τοὺς δεσμούς σου καὶ εἶπας Οὐ δουλεύσω, ἀλλὰ πορεύσομαι ἐπὶ πᾶν βουνὸν ὑψηλὸν καὶ ὑποκάτω παντὸς ξύλου κατασκίου, ἐκεῖ διαχυθήσομαι ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ μου.   ἐγὼ δὲ ἐφύτευσά σε ἄμπελον καρποφόρον πᾶσαν ἀληθινήν· πῶς ἐστράφης εἰς πικρίαν, ἡ ἄμπελος ἡ ἀλλοτρία;   ἐὰν ἀποπλύνῃ ἐν νίτρῳ καὶ πληθύνῃς σεαυτῇ πόαν, κεκηλίδωσαι ἐν ταῖς ἀδικίαις σου ἐναντίον ἐμοῦ, λέγει κύριος.   πῶς ἐρεῖς Οὐκ ἐμιάνθην καὶ ὀπίσω τῆς Βααλ οὐκ ἐπορεύθην; ἰδὲ τὰς ὁδούς σου ἐν τῷ πολυανδρίῳ καὶ γνῶθι τί ἐποίησας. ὀψὲ φωνὴ αὐτῆς ὠλόλυξεν, τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτῆς  ἐπλάτυνεν ἐφ᾿ ὕδατα ἐρήμου, ἐν ἐπιθυμίαις ψυχῆς αὐτῆς ἐπνευματοφορεῖτο, παρεδόθη· τίς ἐπιστρέψει αὐτήν; πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντες αὐτὴν οὐ κοπιάσουσιν, ἐν τῇ ταπεινώσει αὐτῆς εὑρήσουσιν αὐτήν.  ἀπόστρεψον τὸν πόδα σου ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ τραχείας καὶ τὸν φάρυγγά σου ἀπὸ δίψους. ἡ δὲ εἶπεν Ἀνδριοῦμαι· ὅτι ἠγαπήκει ἀλλοτρίους καὶ ὀπίσω αὐτῶν ἐπορεύετο.  ὡς αἰσχύνη κλέπτου ὅταν ἁλῷ, οὕτως αἰσχυνθήσονται οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ, αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ προφῆται αὐτῶν.   τῷ ξύλῳ εἶπαν ὅτι Πατήρ μου εἶ σύ, καὶ τῷ λίθῳ Σὺ ἐγέννησάς με, καὶ ἔστρεψαν ἐπ᾿ ἐμὲ νῶτα καὶ οὐ πρόσωπα αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν ἐροῦσιν Ἀνάστα καὶ σῶσον ἡμᾶς.   καὶ ποῦ εἰσιν οἱ θεοί σου, οὓς ἐποίησας σεαυτῷ; εἰ ἀναστήσονται καὶ σώσουσίν σε ἐν καιρῷ τῆς κακώσεώς σου; ὅτι κατ᾿ ἀριθμὸν τῶν πόλεών σου ἦσαν θεοί σου, Ιουδα, καὶ κατ᾿ ἀριθμὸν διόδων τῆς Ιερουσαλημ ἔθυον τῇ Βααλ.   ἵνα τί λαλεῖτε πρός με; πάντες ὑμεῖς ἠσεβήσατε καὶ πάντες ὑμεῖς ἠνομήσατε εἰς ἐμέ, λέγει κύριος.

  فَلَيْسَ عَظِيماً إِنْ كَانَ خُدَّامُهُ أَيْضاً يُغَيِّرُونَ شَكْلَهُمْ كَخُدَّامٍ لِلْبِرِّ. الَّذِينَ نِهَايَتُهُمْ تَكُونُ حَسَبَ أَعْمَالِهِمْ.

 

και ου θαυμαστον αυτος γαρ ο σατανας μετασχηματιζεται εις αγγελον φωτος  ου μεγα ουν ει και οι διακονοι αυτου μετασχηματιζονται ως διακονοι

 وَرَفَعَ عَيْنَيْهِ إِلَى تَلاَمِيذِهِ وَقَالَ: «طُوبَاكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمَسَاكِينُ لأَنَّ لَكُمْ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ.

  طُوبَاكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْجِيَاعُ الآنَ لأَنَّكُمْ تُشْبَعُونَ. طُوبَاكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْبَاكُونَ الآنَ لأَنَّكُمْ سَتَضْحَكُونَ.

  طُوبَاكُمْ إِذَا أَبْغَضَكُمُ النَّاسُ وَإِذَا أَفْرَزُوكُمْ وَعَيَّرُوكُمْ وَأَخْرَجُوا اسْمَكُمْ كَشِرِّيرٍ مِنْ أَجْلِ ابْنِ الإِنْسَانِ.

 افْرَحُوا فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَتَهَلَّلُوا فَهُوَذَا أَجْرُكُمْ عَظِيمٌ فِي السَّمَاءِ. لأَنَّ آبَاءَهُمْ هَكَذَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالأَنْبِيَاءِ.

  وَلَكِنْ وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الأَغْنِيَاءُ لأَنَّكُمْ قَدْ نِلْتُمْ عَزَاءَكُمْ.

  وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الشَّبَاعَى لأَنَّكُمْ سَتَجُوعُونَ. وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّاحِكُونَ الآنَ لأَنَّكُمْ سَتَحْزَنُونَ وَتَبْكُونَ.

  وَيْلٌ لَكُمْ إِذَا قَالَ فِيكُمْ جَمِيعُ النَّاسِ حَسَناً. لأَنَّهُ هَكَذَا كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ يَفْعَلُونَ بِالأَنْبِيَاءِ الْكَذَبَةِ.

  «لَكِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا السَّامِعُونَ: أَحِبُّوا أَعْدَاءَكُمْ أَحْسِنُوا إِلَى مُبْغِضِيكُمْ

  بَارِكُوا لاَعِنِيكُمْ وَصَلُّوا لأَجْلِ الَّذِينَ يُسِيئُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ.

  مَنْ ضَرَبَكَ عَلَى خَدِّكَ فَاعْرِضْ لَهُ الآخَرَ أَيْضاً وَمَنْ أَخَذَ رِدَاءَكَ فَلاَ تَمْنَعْهُ ثَوْبَكَ أَيْضاً.

  وَكُلُّ مَنْ سَأَلَكَ فَأَعْطِهِ وَمَنْ أَخَذَ الَّذِي لَكَ فَلاَ تُطَالِبْهُ.

  وَكَمَا تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ النَّاسُ بِكُمُ افْعَلُوا أَنْتُمْ أَيْضاً بِهِمْ هَكَذَا.

  وَإِنْ أَحْبَبْتُمُ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَكُمْ فَأَيُّ فَضْلٍ لَكُمْ؟ فَإِنَّ الْخُطَاةَ أَيْضاً يُحِبُّونَ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَهُمْ.

  وَإِذَا أَحْسَنْتُمْ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُحْسِنُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ فَأَيُّ فَضْلٍ لَكُمْ؟ فَإِنَّ الْخُطَاةَ أَيْضاً يَفْعَلُونَ هَكَذَا.

  وَإِنْ أَقْرَضْتُمُ الَّذِينَ تَرْجُونَ أَنْ تَسْتَرِدُّوا مِنْهُمْ فَأَيُّ فَضْلٍ لَكُمْ؟ فَإِنَّ الْخُطَاةَ أَيْضاً يُقْرِضُونَ الْخُطَاةَ لِكَيْ يَسْتَرِدُّوا مِنْهُمُ الْمِثْلَ.

  بَلْ أَحِبُّوا أَعْدَاءَكُمْ وَأَحْسِنُوا وَأَقْرِضُوا وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَرْجُونَ شَيْئاً فَيَكُونَ أَجْرُكُمْ عَظِيماً وَتَكُونُوا بَنِي الْعَلِيِّ فَإِنَّهُ مُنْعِمٌ عَلَى غَيْرِ الشَّاكِرِينَ وَالأَشْرَارِ.

  فَكُونُوا رُحَمَاءَ كَمَا أَنَّ أَبَاكُمْ أَيْضاً رَحِيمٌ.
